As a scientist, I am keenly aware of the critical void in early science literacy throughout the United States. A recent report of The New Commission on the Skills of the American Workforce stated that "highquality early childhood education is one of the best investments ... in (our) young people" - and science is a key component.

Zula's Exploration Missions® were created to help fill that critical void by providing high quality science literacy materials for our young children.

Zula addresses the national call for science literacy education by targeting preschool and early elementary students. Research shows that these are the most effective and age-appropriate developmental stages for introducing basic science concepts. By reaching the receptive preschool and early elementary age groups, Zula’s Exploration Missions® provide a foundation for developing critical thinking skills – skills that are necessary for life-long success!

Zula's Exploration Missions® are comprised of standards-driven, inquirybased science, math, and language arts activities, lesson plans, and online experiences for students in preschool through second grade. Content includes associated video clips or 11-minute animated shows, hands-on investigations, and professional development opportunities.
